The Buildium Resident Center gives residents effortless online access to the most important services like paying rent, submitting and tracking maintenance requests, and staying in contact with their property managers.
The challenge
Many property managers face the challenge of a centralized place for their residents to do the essentials of the renting experience. In the past, and still, some property managers are stuck with outdated processes to manage their tenants, which causes extensive hours of coordinating maintenance requests between parties, following tenants to pay their rents, and more.
With the adoption of smartphones, more and more people do business and manage their day-to-day on the phone. Buildium wanted to invest early on to become a leader in the space with a web and mobile app that could give property managers, tenants, and owners access 24/7 to the most important services on their properties.

The solution
Property managers lean heavily on their name, reputation, and "easy for the resident" qualities as their main drivers to generate new business. This was a central focal point for the Resident Center app as we created a fully customizable experience for them to input their brand into the software to make it their own.
Also, property managers offer many different kinds of services for their client needs. We created the Resident Center app so the property managers could turn on/off features without disrupting the user experience and interface of the app.

The result
After launch, Resident Center was quickly adopted by Buildium's customers. It also became a primary business driver for Buildium, but most importantly for property managers. They gained new leads by offering an easy-to-use and practical application to keep the property working and in good shape while making it easier for renters to pay rent, submit requests, and more.
